PGPD Investigates Sexual Assault in Suitland


Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s District III Investigative Section is investigating the sexual assault of a woman in Suitland, Maryland.
            On March 21, 2012, at approximately 7:40 p.m., patrol officers responded for a call of a sexual assault.  The victim said that she was assaulted in the 2300 block of Dupont Avenue in Suitland, Maryland.  The victim, a realtor, was previewing the home at this location when she entered the basement.  There, the suspect grabbed the victim and began to sexually assault her.  The suspect fled the location after the victim was able to fight him off.   
The suspect is described as a black male, 25-35 years of age, about 6’1”, with a short hair cut and slim build.  He was last seen wearing a blue or black T-shirt and dark tennis shoes.          
             On Thursday evening, detectives disseminated flyers in the area of the assault in an effort to obtain information.
