UPDATE - Citizen Robbery Caught on Surveillance Camera




                                                                                         

PGPD arrested a second suspect in the September 28th citizen robbery that occurred in the 6000 block of Riverdale Road.  Police officers made the second arrest October 2nd.  The suspect is a juvenile.

The Prince George’s County Police Department has made one arrest in connection with the citizen robbery on September 28th. The robbery was caught on surveillance camera outside of a business in the 6000 block of Riverdale Road in Riverdale.  Police officers made the arrest October 1st.  The suspect is a juvenile. 

The investigation revealed the victim had just left a restaurant when the suspects approached him and asked for a cigarette. When the victim told them he’d give them a cigarette, one of the suspects hit him in the face. The victim fell to the ground, dropping his wallet and cell phone. He managed to get up and run for help. The suspects took the victim's property and ran away. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
