PGPD Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Lanham

The Prince George's County Police Department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision. The victim is 41-year-old Victor Ramos-Carino of Nightingale Drive in Lanham.

On October 12, 2014, at about 10:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the 10800 block of Lanham Severn Road for the report of a pedestrian collision. When they arrived, they found Ramos-Carino in the roadway with critical injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Ramos-Carino was struck as he crossed Lanham Severn Road. Our preliminary investigation reveals he was not walking in a crosswalk at the time of the collision. The driver remained on the scene. He was not hurt.
